I am a materialist; I believe in the power of objects through the process of their making. Through the work that I make there may be generated a variety of meanings. What is important is that the meanings be porous enough and secure enough to support internal opposition and outer interpretation. In this way the sculpture, drawings, and installations I make go beyond my experience and connect to wider experiences in the world.
